The Village of Elkhart Lake is located on the western edge of Sheboygan County. It is a charming, lakeside resort village with 1,206 residents. On its shoreline are three Victorian-style resorts: The Osthoff Resort, Siebkens Resort and Victorian Village Resort. Each one has its own beache and lakeside accommodations.
Elkhart Lake is a crystal-clear, spring fed lake with a sandy shoreline. It is also referred to as Big Elkhart Lake and is the largest natural lake in the county at 286 acres. It is also the fourth deepest lake in the state with a maximum depth of 120 feet. It is ideal for almost any recreational use, especially boating and swimming. Access is located on the west end of the lake just off County Road P. Elkhart Lake is primarily noted for large walleyes, as well as northern pike and small-mouth bass and a good rock bass population. Nearby lakes include Little Elkhart Lake and Crystal Lake. Each lake has a public boating landing.
