Victory Garden - artistic empowerment in the spirit of thanksgiving, celebration, and growth beginning our second decade. Opening reception Friday, June 25, 5-9 pm. Victory gardens were vegetable, fruit, and herb gardens planted during World Wars I and II to reduce pressure on the food supply. Considered a "morale booster", gardeners felt empowered by their contribution. Fast forward to today's green movement and the gallery's commitment to enriching homes, gardens, and lives by presenting your original art. Be empowered by your contribution to the cause! This family event features music, children's games, food and refreshments. Line up of activities: Friday evening music by The Toys begins at 8 pm and FIREWORKS start at 9:30 pm. Rain date for fireworks is Saturday night at 9:30 pm. Saturday evening music by Chasin Mason at 8 pm to midnight. Sunday's parade through the Village Square begins at 11:30 am. The John Roehl Orchestra plays from 1 to 4 pm on Sunday. Admission to the picnic is free.
