The Village of Elkhart Lake requests persons requiring auxiliary aids and service for participation in the above meeting contact the Clerk twenty-four (24) hours prior to the meeting.

All meetings are held in the general meeting room of the Grashorn Memorial Civic Center, located at 84 N. Lake Street in Elkhart Lake unless noted. The deadline for being placed on the agenda for any regular board meeting will be at 5 pm on the Wednesday prior to the regular meeting Monday, and one week prior to a committee or commission meeting.

PUBLIC NOTICEPlease be advised that the Village will be doing a re-assessment in 2008. Associated Appraisal Consultants from Appleton has been hired to do the re-assessment If you have not already received a letter asking you to call and make an appointment, you will receive one shortly. Your cooperation will speed this process along. It is anticipated that project will be finished in September. Each appraiser will have a letter of identification signed by the Village. BOARD OF SUPERVIORS OF THE TOWNSHIP OF RHINE

There will be a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Elkhart Lake jointly with the Town of Rhine Board of Supervisors on Monday, August 25, 2008 at 7:30 P.M. in the general meeting room of the Town Rhine Hall located at W5250 County Road FF in the Town of Rhine. The following is the proposed agenda for the Village of Elkhart Lake Board of Trustees:

III. THE VILLAGE BOARD INTENDS TO CONVENE INTO
CLOSED SESSION PURSUANT TO WIS. STAT. SEC.
19.85(1)(e) for the purpose of deliberating or negotiating the
purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds,
or conducting other specified public business, because
competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session.
The purpose of the closed session concerns negotiations with
the Town of Rhine over the terms of an agreement for a
proposed fire station. Please note that the Village Board may
convene into closed session and then return into open session
on multiple occasions during the same meeting as may be
necessary to protect the Village’s interests under the above-
referenced statutory closed session exemption.
