Chamber Business Spotlight
Our April Chamber business spotlight is The Amazing Grace Equine Sanctuary.
The Amazing Grace Equine Sanctuary, located on County Highway FF just west of Highway 57, is home to 20 horses, a donkey and a pony. Most are available for adoption; some live here permanently. Since it was founded ten years ago by Erin Kelley-Groth and her husband John, AGES has taken in more than 150 horses. AGES accepts surrendered horses, as well as horses that have been neglected or abandoned. With the help of dozens of volunteers and financial support from the community, horses get a second chance for a new life here or find homes with qualified adopters. AGES welcomes visitors the second Sunday of the month from 2 to 4 p.m. Erin said, “We’re a non-profit, but part of our mission is educating the community about unwanted horses and the work we do here. So we think it’s important to be Chamber members and participate in the Elkhart Lake business community. Visit AGES at www.rescuehorses.org
