As a small business owner, I have benefitted in multiple ways from my Chamber of Commerce membership. Of course, the obvious is, I’ve gained customers and grown my business which is the most important. But I’ve benefitted in other ways as well—such as:
• Engaged with other local business owners to network with and share professional information. • Discovered local businesses to purchase goods and services from-helping to support our community and keep it healthy. • Through Chamber events, I’ve been honored and rewarded for my community support, and business success. These events are important to small business owners who work hard but don’t often get the “pat on the back” recognition. Additionally, we receive positive press form these events. • Opportunities to positively impact and support the community by participation in non-profit events. • Be the first to know about new businesses opening, opportunities to tour newly opened businesses.
Based on my 15 years of experience as a Chamber Member, and my 4 years as an Elkhart Lake member, I would encourage any professional to join their Chamber of Commerce.
