Elkhart Lake Travel Update

Stay Safe. Stay Healthy. Stay Home.

A message from Wisconsin’s Elkhart Lake

At this time we are usually encouraging travel to our beautiful lake destination to shake off those winter blues, cure your cabin fever, and prepare for a busy summer ahead, but our message has shifted as we face these unprecedented times.

The coronavirus, or COVID-19, has been rapidly changing the lives of everyone over the past few weeks as health concerns continue to arise. The State of Wisconsin’s has placed a ‘Stay-At-Home’ order that began on March 25th, 2020 and remains in effect until April 24th, 2020. We encourage visitors to please stay home out of concern for our community’s health, safety, and to slow the spread of COVID-19. Please postpone your travel to Elkhart Lake until the Stay-at-Home order is lifted and health officials have advised that it is safe to travel again.

The time will come when we can all come together and enjoy the crystal clear, blue-green waters and natural beauty of our lakeside resort village once again. Until that time comes, we invite you to escape with us virtually by following us on Facebook and Instagram @ElkhartLake.

Take care and be safe,

A Message from the Village of Elkhart Lake

Please Stay Safe, Stay Healthy, and Stay HOME. We know that many of you consider Elkhart Lake your home away from home, but for right now we continue to encourage you all to please stay home (at your permanent residence) out of concern for our community’s health, safety, and to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our community. Please postpone your travel to Elkhart Lake until the Stay-at-Home order is lifted and health officials have advised that it is safe to travel again. We do not want to overwhelm our limited health care infrastructure. We do ask, if you chose to come here, that you self-isolate for 14 days and then stay here. We advise people not to travel between locations. Thank you for doing your part to keep Elkhart Lake safe and we look forward to welcoming you all back soon.
