Exchange your PlayStation, television, or tablet for a pair of skates or snowshoes this weekend! Weather permitting, you’ll have a great time ice skating on the pond at The Osthoff Resort or the rink at June Vollrath Athletic Park. There’s a nice big hill for sledding at the High School. Bring your snowshoes or rent a pair at Quit Qui Oc Golf Course. Trail fee applies. Or, head to the Greenbush XC ski and snowshoe trails (6 miles away). Segments of the Ice Age Trail start up in several nearby locations for some convenient hiking or snowshoeing.
Ice fishing, too, is a popular winter sport. Area inland lakes offer great fishing. And, don’t miss the Pig-in-the-Ice Festival in Sheboygan Marsh Park on February 21. Enjoy a pig roast, snowmobile races, ice fishing tournament, ice cube hunt and a fireworks display!
