Ain’t No Thing Like a Chicken Wing!

July 29, 2025

National Chicken Wing Day is a delicious celebration that brings people together to enjoy one of America’s most popular foods. A day to honor the glorious variety and pure deliciousness of wings. I’m Canyon, your local foodie teenager, ready to eat some wings! So in between my lawn care jobs and dipping my toes in the crystal-clear waters of the lake, I went on a couple mouthwatering missions to indulge in all the wings, both bone-in and boneless, throughout our vibrant village.
Spoiler Alert: Elkhart Lake did not disappoint. Here are the wings that made me sing!

The Garage BBQ Pit & Saloon
191 S Lincoln Street

The name of the restaurant definitely suits its vibes, coming into the entrance of town it certainly catches the eye of hungry customers every night. Here, I dug into the garlic parmesan (boneless) and teriyaki (bone-in) wings. They were extremely flavorful and drenched in sauce! Beyond the sauce, they had a great smoky taste that amplified the flavor. The wings had plenty of juicy, tender meat.

Quic Qui Oc Club Restaurant
500 S Lake Street

After a nice round of golf there is nothing better than cooling down in the clubhouse restaurant and getting a nice platter of wings. That’s exactly what I get every time I come here! They offer both bone-in and boneless. My go-to wing is the southwest barbecue wing. This wing is extremely flavorful with a unique barbecue sauce with a southwest twist! They are very crispy outside and fall-off-the-bone tender within.

The Brown Baer
181 E. Rhine Street

The Brown Baer is a fun, local bar (don’t worry I went with a parent) on East Rhine Street featuring grilled chicken wings. I decided to go with the Cajun wings, and they were outstanding! The mix of fantastic spices on these wings made me feel like I was eating on Bourbon Street, not Rhine Street.

Otto’s Restaurant at The Osthoff Resort
101 Osthoff Avenue

If you are staying at The Osthoff Resort or are just strolling around our village looking for some good eats, you should definitely stop in and try some wings at one of Elkhart Lake’s most beautiful resorts. And while you eat, you also can have a great view of the lake. I decided to spice things up a bit and ordered Hot Garlic wings and Buffalo wings. They offer both bone-in and boneless. What I got was exactly what I was looking for. These wings had a perfect balance of spice and flavor, and they were crispy and juicy all in one bite.

Anchor Lanes & The Approach
230 N Lincoln Street

Anchor Lanes is a great family spot to have some fun and enjoy good food! After bowling some frames or swinging some clubs on their golf sims, make sure to order some snacks to amplify the experience.
I ordered some honey barbecue wings. They had a nice flavor with a mixture of sweetness and a tangy barbecue kick. They were tender, crispy, and a strike in my review.

It was a pleasure to make my way around town for some tasty wings. After all, wings are one of the main food groups in the eyes of a teenager, right? The above places really brought their wing game, and if you’re craving chicken wings in Elkhart Lake, you’re in for a treat!
