Put on your lederhosen or dirndl, hoist a stein, grab a pretzel and celebrate the German heritage all weekend long in Elkhart Lake. Elktoberfest takes its own spin on a traditional Oktoberfest with no shortage of beer, pretzels, games, and fun!
What to Expect?
This one-of-a-kind fall weekend has something for the whole family from a 5K Wine & Beer Run/Walk to a Root Beer Garten and activities for the little ones. Join in the fun with silly games and explore the village for German food and Oktoberfest brews. Don’t forget to pick up your commemorative Elktoberfest stein at the Stein Social on Friday evening or at Miesfeld’s Elktoberfest Tent on Saturday evening. 5:30pm – 9:30pm | Siebkens Alley & Yard Kick off the 2nd Annual Elktoberfest at the Stein Social! Fill up your very own commemorative Elktoberfest stein with SwitchGear Brewery’s Oktoberfest beer and enjoy live music, food and games in the alley and yard of Siebkens Resort. Relax at picnic tables and meet up with new and old friends at the Stein Social.
5:30pm – 9:30pm | Live Music by The Polka Masters on Siebkens Bandstand
8am – 12pm | Elkhart Lake Depot & Square The Farmers Market is a Saturday morning tradition. Pick up fresh seasonal vegetables, flowers, cheeses, local arts and specialty products from a variety of vendors. You can also pick up your preordered Elktoberfest t-shirts at the Elkhart Lake Visitor Center at this time.
9am – 11am | Vintage Elkhart Lake Join us for our 2nd Annual Elktoberfest Wine & Beer Run 5K on Saturday, September 30th for an exciting event that features the scenic views of Elkhart Lake and the great wine provided by Vintage Elkhart Wine Shop and craft beer produced by local brewery, Switchgear Brewing Company.
11am – 10pm | SwitchGear Brewing Company SwitchGear Brewing Company is joining in on the Elktoberfest fun with their Annual Oktoberfest celebration on Saturday, September 30th. Stop by for live music by The Waltzmeisters, giant German pretzels, and a game of Hammerschlagen.
12pm – 3pm | Village Square Park The Root Beer Garden is back again this year, but in a new location! Head over to the Village Square Park, located behind the Elkhart Lake Visitor Center, for face painting, kids games, pumpkin painting, a bouncy house, root beer, Culver’s ice cream, and a special appearance by Culver’s mascot, Scoopie!
3pm – 8:30pm | The Shore Club Lawn Time for the adults to have a little fun and indulge a bit into our German heritage. Enter the potato salad cook-off or brat eating contest and enjoy the smell of Elktoberfest as Meisfeld’s will be grilling up brats on-site! Enjoy a few Oktoberfest brews and stay for the live music by Boo! The Band.
2pm | Potato Salad Cook-Off Drop Off Do you think you have the best potato salad recipe? We invite you to enter your best potato salad into the contest, whether it’s German, American, Polish, or whatever you have up your sleeve that will win the competition!
2:30pm | Judging begins for the Potato Salad Cook-Off Potato salad will be for sale after the winners are announced.
4-8:30pm | Miesfeld’s Brat Fry Miesfeld’s will be on site grill brats and burgers that will be for sale to the public. The potato salad entrees from the cook-off will also be for sale.
4pm | Brat Eating Contest Now is your chance to compete in the first-ever Miesfeld’s Brat Eating Contest! Eat as many brats as you can in 10 minutes for your chance to be the 2023 Miesfeld’s Brat Eating Contest winner. Be one of the first 10 to sign up. Registration begins September 1st. Sign up here. Proceeds will go to the Plymouth Food Pantry.
4:30pm – 8:30pm | Miesfeld’s Tent on The Shore Club Lawn Get up and dance the night away with live music from Boo! The Band. Everything from Motown, pop, old school hip-hop, disco and everyone favorites.
