Happy National Burger Day!

National Burger Day is a mouthwatering celebration of one of America’s most beloved comfort foods. In Elkhart Lake, this day offers the perfect opportunity to indulge in juicy, flavorful burgers at local places that showcase this American classic! So, between golf practice, go-kart racing, homework and just “chilling” it was so fun to take you on a tour of the burgers of Elkhart Lake. I’ve tasted them all – juicy, cheesy, spicy and stacked! Here’s my official “burger breakdown” from around the village.

The Full Monty

Green Chile Burger – This one hit hard. Super juicy patty on a soft bun, packed with flavor. The tangy BBQ sauce and crunchy onion rings worked perfectly together, and those green chiles brought just the right amount of heat.

Siebkens Stop-Inn Tavern

Hard Left Burger – Double patty on a brioche bun? Yes, please. This one had amazing flavor, especially with the crispy bun. The melted cheese, grilled onions, and pickles with mayo gave it that diner-style taste but leveled up. It was messy in the best way.

Concourse Restaurant & Lounge at The Osthoff Resort

Smash Burger – This was a super solid burger. Two juicy burgers, fresh toppings, and the unique aioli added a smooth kick. The soft bun brought it all together. It’s the kind of burger you crush after a long day at Road America.

The Garage BBQ Pit & Saloon

Bacon Brisket Burger – This burger was all about the layers. Juicy patty, crispy bacon, crunch onion rings and a spicy whiskey BBQ sauce that left a little heat after each bite. Plus, that brioche bun held it all together very well.

Lake Street Café

Lake Street Burger – This burger has local vibes all over it – served on a classic Sheboygan hard roll. It was juicy and customizable with fresh toppings like onions, tomatoes, lettuce, and gooey cheese. It was classic, kind of like what it’s named after.

The Brown Baer

The Baer Burger – This behemoth of a burger really hit the spot. The soft bun and juicy patty were great, and the toppings stood out. The gooey egg and caramelized bacon made if feel like I was eating breakfast and lunch at the same time.

Quit Qui Oc Golf Club

The Weez Burger – This burger is sure to cheer you up after putting in a few hours on the links. A half-  pound of a juicy patty was served on a Sheboygan County favorite – a hard roll. And bacon makes everything better! It sure hit the spot and now I can go work on my swing some more.

All Seasons Family Restaurant

Classic Burger – This was a straight-up classic. Sesame seed bun, fresh lettuce, pickles, onions – all the basics done right. Very dependable when you have that burger craving.

Anchor Lanes

Muddy Burger – After a few frames of bowling, this creative burger needed to be ordered. It’s bold garlic mayo, bacon relish and a fried egg to boot made this burger a tasty treat.

There were a few spots that weren’t quite open yet for the season when I made my rounds so don’t forget to hit up some seasonal places for a burger: Otto’s Restaurant and The Lake Deck at The Osthoff Resort and the Tiki Bar at the Shore Club.

Every burger brought something different to the table, and it’s awesome to have so many solid spots in our small town. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite with friends or eating out with the fam, there’s something on this list for every burger lover. So, if you’re a local or a visitor, National Burger Day in Elkhart Lake is a delightful occasion to savor some of the best burgers the area has to offer.
